Notes

Early science-fiction anthology series with no regular cast or host, produced in conjunction with the Science-Fiction League of America. Episodes were performed live, but many survive in kinescope format.

Its best-known episode was a 1952 production of Frankenstein with Lon Chaney Jr. as the monster. Due to a misunderstanding, Chaney performed the role believing it to be a dress rehearsal, not the actual broadcast. As a result, his apparently bizarre behavior on screen (i.e. intentionally avoiding damaging props and even muttering about saving them for later) led to a longstanding rumour that he was inebriated during the broadcast.

Two seasons were broadcast, with the episodes now in the public domain in the U.S.
