Replacement for The Alan Hamel Show. At the height of this daytime talk show's popularity, CTV launched Prime Cuts, a prime-time series consisting of highlights from episodes of The Alan Thicke Show. Thicke's popularity attracted the attention of producers in the US and he was hired to host a late-night talk show called Thicke of the Night in 1983; upon his departure the series was replaced by The Don Harron Show.
