Long-running investigative journalism series. A number of episodes have been distributed in the US and elsewhere as standalone documentaries, giving The Fifth Estate the unusual distinction of being the only TV series to win an Academy Award for original content (The 1959-1964 version of The Twilight Zone incorporated an Oscar-winning short film after-the-fact).

Early co-host Adrienne Clarkson went on to become the Governor-General of Canada.

23skidoo 12th Jul 2015		I could not find a complete title sequence from the 1970s from which to do a screen capture of the title screen, so as I did with Canada AM I cropped the series logo from mid-episode. If anyone has access to a complete episode from the early years, please feel free to replace. (By the way, the IMDb erroneously gives 1981 as the start date; but the CBC Archives and other reputable sources confirm 1975.)
