| | While we got "Man From U.N.C.L.E." in Australia, this one passed us by completely. We never got to see in in monochrome or colour(we didn't get colour TV until the test transmissions in late 1974 leading up to the official launch on 1st March, 1975), Our colour TV came too late in any case. |

| | Having seen a couple of episodes (unlike Man from UNCLE a regular DVD release has not occurred; Warner Archive put it out as a burn-on-demand set instead), it's not awful but the problem was they didn't seem to know what to do with April Dancer (a name, by the way, devised by Ian Fleming when he helped in the creation of Man from UNCLE). The episodes I saw tended to paint her in a damsel in distress role, while Mark Slate her partner tended to do much of the shooting and fighting. The failure of this series, coupled by the decision to make Man into a comedy for its third season, pretty much drove a stake into the parent program's heart. It limped through half of a more-serious Season 4 before expiring. No word yet as to whether April Dancer will appear in the new Henry Cavill/Armie Hammer Man from UNCLE film. |

Then some schmuck went ahead and did it.
Now we're stuck with them. |

| | Well I suppose women had not been invented yet..
they sometimes try this kind of thing though don't they:
Superman - supergirl - Batman - Batgirl - The Bionic man - etc.
All a bit cynical, and people just see straight through it all (There's a new supergirl series been advertised on Empire's website at the moment - she's a hip young go getter reflecting the modern woman etc. Prediction: FLOP)
You kind of understand the frustration of women wanting someone to just write something original for them to act in, rather than just a cast-off franchise cash in.
Go Girl!!! (Ooh, that sounds like a good name for a female superhero, think I'll patent that, then I can follow it up with Go man, Go Dog, and Go team....) |

| | As with Man from UNCLE, there isn't a single series logo title card with the complete title. |
