Notes

130 episodes of this tongue-in-cheek children's horror series were produced within the span of a single year (with Vincent Price recording some 400 segments over a single four-day stretch). The series aired locally in Hamilton, Ontario, and in syndication for years thereafter. (An exact account of how long it took the 130 episodes to be first broadcast is not available.)

Although primarily a humor program, each episode included a straightforward science lesson delivered by physicist Julius Sumner Miller.

@Neil. Yeah, that was his stage name. His real name was Alan Hoffman. Sadly, he passed away from cancer only a few years later at the criminally young age of 32 according to Wikipedia.

Guy Big as Midget Count? There's a joke in itself!

Original broadcast information about this series is surprisingly hard to pin down. The fact 130 episodes were videotaped within a 9-12 month stretch is known, after which they aired weekly in Hamilton and in syndication. According to frightenstein.com and IMDb the broadcasts also began in 1971 but I could not find an end date; as I didn't want to erroneously register the show as still being in production I made the end date the end of production. If anyone has more detailed info as to how long it took the 130 episodes to be first broadcast (1974?) please feel free to update. The frightenstein.com website claims the episodes were actually DESTROYED back in 1997 (or at least the broadcast masters were), though that didn't stop a number of episodes from appearing on DVD in the 2000s.
