 Interesting to note how long Gay Byrne hosted it. Johnny Carson and David Letterman often get noted as being the longest-serving talk show hosts, but Byrne has them both beat. Joe Franklin is the world record-holder - he hosted his show from 1950 to 1993! - but his show was not aired nationally.
