I love the fact that McCallum's work on UNCLE has been referenced on his current show NCIS. In one early episode a character asks Gibbs what Ducky looked like when he was a young man, and Gibbs replied "Illya Kuryakin". I recall seeing a publicity photo of McCallum from the era in another episode. He and Vaughn also reunited for an A-Team episode that was a full-on spoof of UNCLE. I thought it was great that in the late 2000s when so many of their 1960s contemporaries were retired or passed on that both McCallum and Vaughn were enjoying success with fresh new TV series (McCallum on NCIS, and Vaughn in the UK doing Hustle and I think he was a regular on one other UK show at the time too - I want to say Coronation Street but I can't recall for sure).

And of course, David McCallum went on to "appear" in The Invisible Man - Poor guy! His romantic life was a tragedy. His girlfriends would take him home and their mothers would see right through him(ha-ha).

@biffbampow The series has been on DVD for several years. They put out this great complete series box set in a briefcase complete with extra discs featuring some (sadly not all) of the movie versions of a few episodes. It was initially available for mail order only, but after a year you could buy it at Best Buy which is where I got my copy. I believe they're starting to issue the separate seasons now. (PS. I'm not sure where you are located; I'm referring to North America. I have no idea if it's been released on DVD in the UK or elsewhere.) There is also a set available from i think Warner Archive of all the UNCLE movies, though when I saw one for sale it was nearly half the price of the full series box set!

Yep, you could buy the cards, something like 6 cards and a bubblegum in a sealed pack, then swap cards with your mates till you got the set.
When you turned the cards over and placed them in order they formed a large picture.
Captain Scarlet had a similar thing.

In seeking out a title screen image I realized it doesn't appear a single on-screen logo presenting the complete Man from U.N.C.L.E. title was actually shown. There were some variants, though, so if there was an occasion where they did this, please feel free to replace my image.
