Sequel series to the 1964-1966 series The Munsters and set in the same continuity, only with a completely different cast (though Fred Gwynne was reportedly invited to reprise Herman, but declined).

Although described in some reference works as a failed remake, in fact the series actually lasted longer than the original, running for three seasons (the original ran for only two) and producing two more episodes than the original (possible due to 1960s TV seasons being longer).

The IMDb listing for this series erroneously gives it a start year of 1987.

23skidoo 16th Jul 2015		I was floored to discover this thing survived for three seasons. I found it unwatchable, myself. I like John Shuck but he was all wrong for Herman. The concept was interesting (the family was frozen in time back in 1966 and revived in the late 1980s). But given the choice, in terms of which show more accurately replicated the feel of the original, I'd have to go for the later Canadian-made New Addams Family (which also gets bonus points for bringing in one of the original actor, something I don't believe Munsters Today managed, though to its credit they did at least try to get Fred Gwynne to come back after he'd reprised the role for a TV movie about 7 years earlier).
