Canada-US co-production.

A remake of the 1960s TV series (with lead actor Glenn Taranto all but directly impersonating John Astin as Gomez Addams), as well as a partial follow-up to the 1990s movie series (as Nicole Fugere, who replaced Christina Ricci as Wednesday in the film series, continued as the same character for the TV series and Wednesday was depicted the same as her film version, not as she was in the 1960s). John Astin himself also appeared in the series as Grandpapa.

A number of episodes were remakes of 1960s storylines. Although there was a 1977 TV movie titled Halloween with the New Addams Family, there is no direct connection between the two.
