Notes

Preceded by a pilot episode that aired as part of the anthology series Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse earlier in 1959. Executive producers included Desi Arnaz and Quinn Martin.

Based upon the memoir by Eliot Ness, this series was extremely controversial in its day for the level of realistic violence.

Ness' book would later be adapted again for the Oscar-winning 1987 film, and another TV series adaptation (with no direct connection to the 1959-63 series) aired from 1993 to 1994.
