TV Series
Notes Hybrid panel game show and comedy series. Contestants (usually Canadian celebrities) viewed comedy vignettes that always ended with the protagonist being arrested for reasons not always immediately clear. The idea was to identify what law had been broken. The series began with a test run in the summer of 1971 in which Soles (at the time known for his work hosting CBC current affairs shows and voicing Spider-Man in a popular TV cartoon) was both the host and played the Lawbreaker. This proved confusing, so character actor Austin Willis (whose roles included Simmons in the James Bond film Goldfinger) became the host thereafter. Images
