Often cited as an example of how destructive the 1970s BBC policy of "wiping" old shows from its archives was, as of 2015 no episodes of the more than 140 produced of this twice-weekly drama series are known to exist, making United! the TV equivalent of a lost film.

Many writers for this series also worked on Doctor Who around this time.

23skidoo 25th Jul 2015		If anyone actually has access to an episode of this from which to take a title screen capture, the BBC Archives will want to hear from you! Since there are some contributors here who remember watching shows back in the 1960s it'll be interesting to see if anyone recalls seeing this series for which no episodes survive.
