 Mary Jo Eustace

Notes

Humour-based cooking show that focused as much on the chemistry and comedy between the show's creator and host, Ken Kostick, and his co-star, Mary Jo Eustace, a singer-actress who was herself a trained sous-chef, as on the recipes themselves.

Kostick originally conceived the series as a cooking show-based sitcom similar to Home Improvement's show-within-a-show concept.

Kostick and Eustace later reunited to host radio series and other TV projects.

I was addicted to this show when it was on the air. The recipes were secondary: people watched it for the comedy as Ken and Mary Jo were hilarious together (you can see how a sitcom could have easily been built around the show as Ken originally planned). I was very sad to hear that Ken died in 2011. I'd have loved to see a revival of this show.
