Notes

New York-produced childrens series that mixed music, comedy and educational segments. The initial run ran from 1955 to 1977 in both a weekday and a Sunday edition - the Sunday edition ran for three hours, later scaled back to two hours. It was revived from 1980 to 1983, and most recently a revival that debuted in January 2017 following a Christmas 2016 special broadcast.

From 1955 to 1959 the series had a number of short-term hosts including Al Hodge in character as Captain Video and artist Jon Gnagy. Starting in 1959 the series settled on a single host, with Sonny Fox and later Bob McAllister hosting. During McAllister's time he had a hit record with "Kids and People Too" which was adopted as the show's theme song. After cancellation McAllister hosted Kids Are People, Too, seen by some as a spinoff. The 1980-83 version had no regular hosts, while the 2016 revival was hosted by David Osmond.
