TV Series
Notes Early example of reality and interactive programming in which viewers requested what they wanted to see (such as a dangerous stunt, or a song by a never-before-seen-on-TV musical performer). During its first year on the air the series was titled The Art Baker Show and aired on DuMont; it changed to its better known title when it moved to ABC in early 1952. Several revival series have been produced: * You Asked For It (1972) with original-series host Jack Smith. * The New You Asked For It (1981-1983), hosted initially by Rich Little and Jayne Kennedy, with Smith later returning as host for its final episodes. * You Asked for It, Again (1991-1992), hosted by Jimmy Brogan. * You Asked for It (2000), hosted by Phil Morris.
