Perry Presents (1959)
To try to construct the episodes as much as I know, the female co-hosts:
June 13 - July 4: Teresa Brewer
July 11: Gloria DeHaven
Next 2 shows: Peggy King.
Final 6 shows: Jaye P. Morgan.
If that's all there were the last show would have been September 5.

Perry Presents (1959)
Here's an episode from July 11 at the Internet Archive with Gloria DeHaven co-hosting.
Added photo (kinescope capture).
In later episodes Jaye P. Morgan was the female co-host.

As for IMDB, research on this series is a work in progress, and the one person who created the IMDB entry does not have it all right. That's probably the person who posted at Internet Archive.
Here's more information written at This Is My Story: "She and Tony Bennett were cast to co-host "Perry Presents" - a New York-based summer replacement show for the Perry Como Saturday night time slot - in the summer of 1959. Teresa only appeared for the first four weeks of the show. After her departure, other performers - Jaye P. Morgan, for instance - filled in for her." Teresa's last show was July 4.
There were at least 13 shows.

You see she is a very seductive female. The low neckline helps. I have deduced after much cornsidermation that this is a false front as part of the costume.
I thought the production was flawless.

Taking The Falls (1995 - 1996)
Review
Two females run a private investigation company in Niagara Falls (Canajun side). Another valiant attempt to self-produce Canadian content, from Alliance which created some fantastic work in general. Cynthia Dale (of Street Legal) is the ex-cop PI, while Sandra Nelson is the lawyer half. The show is classed as a comedy-drama because, well ... how can females be serious in this kind of stuff.
The Niagara Falls setting raised some hopes, however, umm, they never showed the Falls during the episodes or used the scenic environment. It was just studio work in Toronto. Uhhhh. It had none of the romance or vista or excitement you might hope for. Focused on the SEAMY side of life in this town, which ordinary people don't think about. Prostitution, underworld, sex slavery ... Just failed to capture the concept it should have. Actually hurt people's vision of this grand tourist attraction and wonder of the world. Could just as well have been Taking Hamilton.
It was okay, that's all. Lasted 13 episodes, and not renewed.

Amerika (1987)
Rated 7/10
Oh yes, anti-Communism. You know what's coming next. How many will there be on this site who will express disdain for it and for "McCarthyism" and such?
To the rest of you: patriotic Americans succeeded in convincing the ABC network to run something to counter the constant pro-communist propaganda in the media. This was one mini-series, quite extended. The ratings were okay, but not spectacular, maybe because it was drawn out. So of course fodder for political commentators.
But to make a long story short, soon after, the Disney Company bought ABC, and made sure nothing like that would ever be shown on TV ever again. That's how it works.

The story showed how Russians came in and stormed Congress and massacred it. Kristofferson is the hero, who is first seen in prison, and when released gets involved in resistance. No there was not a victorious ending ... but for some that is a happy ending. Now you can be happy about Obama and things like the assassination of Chief Justice Scalia.

Melissa George was the new babe on TV and we couldn't get enough of her. The series had enuf silly imperfections however that it did not last.
They started filming in widescreen HD that season.

Review
Fans of Connie or Greg Evigan appreciated seeing this. A typically slick detective series with a humorous element because the Connie and Greg characters dislike each other. It just wasn't interesting enuf and was cancelled. Connie showed a lot of legs in this one with a miniskirt.

This was enjoyable, interesting and entertaining, with good stories. People wonder why it was cancelled. 13 shows were made, a typical half-season.
Maria Bello was bella alright, and was able to move on to bigger things.

Review
I gave the dates of production. They would have been shown on TV past 1951. The venture collapsed and the films were sold at a steal to one TV station around Ohio. But they had managed to create a historic library of the great performers of the day. They are now managed by Historic Films in New York.
Not to be confused with Soundies, which were made for theaters. These Snaders have been packaged in various forms. There was a video volume devoted entirely to Nat King Cole.

Great Movies (1957 - 1970)
How many times did I see Humphrey Bogart in The African Queen, and the like, as a CBC movie in those days!
The theme music from ~1960 was the instrumental Carnival (Manha de Carnaval) from the album by The Medallion Strings, from the 1959 film Black Orpheus. Hear the archive sample.

Second Chances (1993 - 1994)
Review
A primetime soap I suppose, but more a mystery. One storyline would last a few weeks. Set in a sunny California town with extensive sets constructed. Such an impressive and attractive cast, what a disappointment it was to many people when it had to be cancelled.
I thought the complex mystery plots were on the contrived side however.
Megan was married for a time then.

Clay Cole Sunday Show (1964 - 1968)
The color images here were stills from a home movie taken in the studio by one of the Del Satins members. I saved them from the now-defunct website of Clay Cole. I'm told that footage no longer exists.
It doesn't mean the show was in color.
It would have ended 1968 or earlier.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World (1999 - 2002)
The point is that none of da stuff was shown in any of the scenes with nude people. So the shows should not be rated "nudity".
I've seen some hopelessly ridiculous ratings at times. Yeah, like a sex scene where they are under the covers, cause well after all, underneath the cover they are naked, right.

Peter Benchley's Amazon (1999 - 2000)
Episodes written by Peter Benchley. They had one big neat jungle set around Toronto.
To me it didn't work. They just HAD TO update it for "political correctness" and chose one of the females as the leader. The male personalities were like out of 1980s rock culture.
The natives were portrayed as witless savages, which is never really true.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World (1999 - 2002)
This was a super series. By the last season the Canadian co-producer (Alliance-Atlantis) had closed business. It was filmed in Australia and used many mystical themes.
I saw what could be called "nudity" in many episodes in Canada, except that it was not nudity. Nude people in the scene does not constitute nudity in the film if you don't show da stuff.

The Honeymooners (1955 - 1956)
As a boy of 9-10 I commented to some friends in Winnipeg that the show had kind of a downer effect because of how Gleason was always arguing.
Next season they tell me it was not renewed because of this.
It was a hard situation to take for Jackie and everyone.

Clay Cole Sunday Show (1964 - 1968)
From the defunct website of Clay Cole, this text about when the Sunday show started - ~November 1964.
"The Clay Cole Sunday Show
November 4, 1964
The Clay Cole Show celebrated a first anniversary on Channel 11 by becoming their hottest property, their number one show. Rather than offer me a new contract, more money or a bonus, I was given a second hour show with additional duties. So the Clay Cole Sunday Show was created with a cast of fresh, young singers Tracey Dey, Angela Martin, Benny Thomas, Brian McCuen and the Del Satins."

This is another series that can be purchased at Retro Video by video professionals. See the list of stars involved, including Brenda Lee, Teresa Brewer, Everly Brothers. You can research the episodes at tv.com.
This is one more example of where I need someone with professional pull to get some. I can pay for these. I'm looking for Teresa Brewer.

Probably produced in Toronto. Canadian wrestling stars like Whipper Billy Watson, Gene Kiniski, Hard-Boiled Haggerty. There were also midgets, and native Indian wrestlers like Little Beaver. In fact I got to know him while living in Toronto in 1982.
