Prisoner: Cell Block H (1979 - 1986)
I feel your pain RC. I used to watch this when it was shown in the UK in the late 80s. I noticed they have all the episodes on Youtube so I thought I'd watch the first episode just to see how bad it was. Then I watched another. I've now watched 120 episodes in four weeks.

I want my life back.

Around The Beatles (1964)
Having re-read the original forum post on the new worlds I realise now that we are not meant to be uploading one-off TV specials (at least for the time being). My apologies.

If mods want to remove this (and my other two Beatle-themed specials) I can always upload them again at a later date if necessary.

Veep (2012 - 2019)
23skidoo, both shows were created by Armando Iannucci and share a lot of the same writers (Chris Addison also directs a few episodes) but it's not a remake of "The Thick Of It". None of the characters in "Veep" bear any resemblance to those in "The Thick Of It".

Apparently, before "Veep", there was a pilot for an American version of "The Thick Of It" directed by Christopher Guest but Iannucci was not happy with it and it wasn't picked up.

Veep (2012 - 2019)
I don't think you need to understand the inner workings of US government to enjoy the show, any more than you need to understand British government to enjoy "The Thick Of It". I think much of the humour comes from the dynamics between the characters which can surely be recognised by anybody who's ever experienced any kind of working environment.

I sense we have very different tastes in TV Monolith, you keep giving my favourite shows very low ratings! :D

Thomas & Friends (1984 - Now)
Co-incidentally, Michael Angelis, who replaced Ringo Starr in this series, is the brother of Paul Angelis who voiced Ringo in Yellow Submarine.

Jam (2000)
A surreal and slightly disturbing show from Chris Morris. There was no title screen as such and there were no credits at the end, just a web link that viewers could go to (the link no longer works...)

Coupling (2000 - 2004)
Basically a British attempt at 'Friends'. Wasn't bad but there's more style than substance really.

Captain Pugwash (1957 - 1966)
According to wikipedia, the colour series (30 episodes) was first broadcast between 16 September 1974 and 11 July 1975. The original black and white episodes (87 in total) were broadcast by the BBC between 1957 and 1966.

I remember as a young boy in the 70s, Cut-Throat Jake used to scare the bejesus out of me. :D
