Get Some In! (1975 - 1978)
I must admit I too had forgotten about this show but could, as soon as I saw this entry, sing the theme tune....."it's time for national service men, so get some in"....

I must have watched more rubbish TV in my teens than I usually admit too

It Ain't Half Hot Mum (1974 - 1981)
Very much of it's time this comedy series actually was quite sucessful and was (for it's time) rather funny. The biggest talking point these days is all the non-PC points such as Asian characters being portrayed by white actors (Michael Bates playing Rangi Ram etc.) and how wrong that is.

The colonial theme that was the show is also labeled as racist however many like me have noted that the Asian characters were often portrayed as being more intelligent and knowledgable than the "white" soldiers and the officers were type cast as being upper class fools. It was most of the time the English (and the Welsh Sergeant Major) who were the butt of the jokes.

Windsor Davies screaming at his troops, calling them a bunch of "poofs" was for the times it was set in historical correct. Ok it isn't in 2015 politically correct but that was the way it was in the Army during the 1940s (and it continued that way well into the 21st century).

The one fact I love is as TheJudge says Michael Bates (Bearer Ranji Ram) was born in India and learned Hindi before English. In a 2013 interview with The Telegraph Jimmy Perry (the writer) protested that Michael was never "blacked up"... it was more of a light tan.

Blackadder (1983 - 1989)
Neil whilst everyone has an opinion I must disagree with your earlier comment on Rowan Atkinson and offer a counter argument.

Although not my favourite comedian by any means I respect the longevity of his career and the influence he has had on others. Now Mr Bean and his later movie I rarely rate at all however his role in these series', in my opinion (and only an opinion), put him well above his contemporaries at that time and secured his place in the British comedy annals.

My favourite of the series, Goes Forth, initially raised concerns that it may have trivialised the Great War however it went on to win the 1989 British Academy Television Award for best comedy series. Although written by that stage by Richard Curtis & Ben Elton, Rowan's portrayal of Blackadder, alongside Tony's Baldrick and Hugh Laurie's George made the series.

I am glad to see that it has been widely reported that Rowan & Tony have a cunning plan to return for a new series although they are worried if they can afford Hugh Laurie given his superstar status (and wage packet) acquired from the success of "House".

Soldier Soldier (1991 - 1997)
This was compulsory viewing for squadies at the time purely so you could try and rip apart what they were doing wrong like being unable to march correctly, using the wrong uniform, equipment or drills and the like - a bit I guess like London's Burning was for firemen or The Bill for the Met police.

The thing they seemed to get right I recall was the wives and what they were like! I can recall many antics of soldiers better halfs, many who wore their husbands ranks with relish.

Robson Green's role as Tucker was also pretty accurate in that every regiment seemed to have a hapless but likable fool who always was in the s**t and normally came out smelling (faintly) of roses. His wife Donna was true too - every regiment I served with had at least one like her - Ron Hills & stilettos as a fashion highpoint, normally with a motor mouth and one who was never happy with her husbands lot.

Dastardly And Muttley In Their Flying Machines (1969 - 1970)
I like the Wikipedia entry for this show which summarises the series as such:

"Each story features variations on the same plot elements: the Vulture Squadron tries to trap Yankee Doodle Pigeon using one or more planes equipped with Klunk's latest contraptions, but one or more of the Squadron messes up and the plane(s) either crash, collide or explode (or even all of the above!)."

I can recall watching many of the first few seasons of this law drama mostly for the presence of Susan Dey, her from The Partridge Family. I would imagine that it most probably hasn't aged too well like many drama shows from that time.

Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969 - 1974)
biffbampow - yes large elements of it are dated but as other have said it is personal taste. I wasn't old enough to see most of it first time round - I discovered the Pythons around the time of Brian - but I can appreciate it today for what it is, a 1960/70s classic sketch show that helped push to boundaries of what could and could not be aired.
