A Feast Of Irish Folk
Track A6 has become "Tabhair Dom De Lamh" instead of "Tabhair Dom Do Lamh".
Track B4 has become a traditional song instead of written by Englishman "John Conolly" of the English group "The Broadside".

Apologies - could mods add that this is volume three in the series as I forgot to include it initially and can't amend the title via the Add Missing Info facility.

Mod edit:- Done

I don't know if it is possible to date a Vertigo release from a colour phase in the label, but I've just bought the darkest possible Spaceship label example of this record. The blue colour is so dark it's almost difficult to read the black text because there's not enough contrast between the two colours. From experience, the darker and richer the colour of the labels, the earlier it is.

I've been looking out for this, after really enjoying Barry Palmer's work with Mike Oldfield. Just found a nice copy.

BB & CB reviews 21 March 81 [BB pg 92; CB pg 11]. RW review 3.28.81 pg 1. First ARSA mention 23 March 81 on R&B KDAY in L.A. CA. I'd roll the LP release for this back to March '81

I have a slightly different (earlier?) label and sleeve. The label has the Stereo in a more ornate cartouche.

Welcome Here Kind Stranger
Just returning to this record and just cannot believe how beautiful and complete it is as a package. He could and should, after leaving the Johnstons, have created at least 5 different records like this one, before branching out into Hard Station, which was, in itself, a tour de force. He wrote some great songs in the 1980s but I just wish that he had seen fit to do more amazing traditional work that he did on this album and the "Andy & Paul" LPs which preceded it, rather than going straight onto the Rock/Pop phase.

No songs, production or musicians credits (even on the CD edition). Not really a good way to promote a band I'd say...

Damn! I just noticed My copy has 11 tracks and there is no Mary. That $25 price is strange because both my Fruitgum albums were in the cut-out bin at Kmart at 2 for a dollar in the 70s. A good read is "Bubblegum music is the naked truth (The dark history of prepubescent pop, from the Banana Splits to Britney Spears)" Kim Cooper & David Smay.
