Comment by Tony D'Ambrosio:
The "Flamingos" on Times Sq. were an a White a cappella group (or possible 2 White a cappella groups) and were NOT the Flamingos from Chicago (IL) who are best-known for their recordings on Chance, Parrot, Decca, Checker and End.
Slim Rose named the group(s) the Flamingos to help sell the record, though when you listen to either side of the Times Sq. 45, you;d have to be deaf to believe they were the Chicago group.

Comment by Tony D'Ambrosio:
Your linking the Gents on Times Sq; to Dee Clarks is TOTALLY WRONG.
The Gents on Times Sq. were a short -ived a cappella group from Glen Cove, Long Island (NY). Their members were Charles Davis (Lead), Anthony Williams (Bass), Bob Hicks (Baritone), Tom Hicks (2nd Tenor) & Johnathan Hicks (1st Tenor). They were all students at Glen Cove High School.
Dee Clark (Delecta "Dee" Clark, Jr.) before going "solo" was the Lead Singer of the Kool Gents (from Chicago, IL). They had no connection to the Gents on Times Sq.
