The front cover is identical to the US release with the same cat#. The Canadian labels have a variant cat# and variant title: Such Sweet Singing

I believe the title is missing a year at the end. It should be 'Songs Of Our Times: 1934'. This is one of the Vocalion 'Songs Of Our Times' series with records representing every year from 1916 to 1944... at least.

“Who Gave You The Roses” composer Irving Newman (1913-1990) was the brother of Alfred Newman, Lionel Newman and Emil Newman, and the father of Randy Newman.

A physician by trade, coming from a very musical family Irving Newman was described in a Vanity Fair article as "the rare Jew who felt he had let down his family by falling into medicine."
He wrote songs on the side most of his life.
