beatcrazy 14th May 2019		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - I'm The Man (1979)	i bought this record as an import in Germany in late 1979 or early 1980 (basically because the European pressing was sold out) and it became my first Joe Jackson record. It has the labels with the edge text, that were recently added by Plaatjeman.

beatcrazy 6th Oct 2014		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Times Square (1980)	The Joe Jackson track Pretty Boys is a version (edit, remix?), that is unique to this album. It's different to the album version on "Beat Crazy" and also to the single version. Duration (on label) is 3:21 min.
beatcrazy 17th Sep 2014		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - Live 1980/86 (1988)	Very strange indeed. I just checked the inserts for the 12" promo set for this record (with an interview record and a 5-track 12") and one of the inserts features a discography with the number L-3… while the other insert shows the number L-4…. The Australian gold award for this record (dated April 1989) also shows the labels from the L-3…. version. Oh, and as far as I know, there never was a single CD for this, only doubles.

beatcrazy 26th Feb 2014		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Propaganda (No Wave II) (1979)	My copy of this record came with a golden German hype-sticker ("incl. Live-Songs von The Police, Joe Jackson") and a large poster, which seems to belong to the US version, as it mentions slightly different artists and the US catalogue number.

beatcrazy 12th Jan 2014		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - The Joe Jackson Collection (1988)	I think I somewhere read about a release date in 1985, which would make sense to me. All the albums in the box (originally released between 1979 and 1984) weren't originally pressed in Germany. All A&M records sold in Germany were pressed in Holland up to a certain point in the mid-1980's. The next Joe Jackson album Big World from 1986 was already available as German pressing. So I guess this box was made when this change in A&M's pressing policy happened. There was also a change in label design. Perhaps some people included the German 10" promo compilation from 1986 in the box, but I seriously doubt that it was an original part of it.

I think it's also worth mentioning, that the booklet consists of the original inner sleeves of I'm The Man & Beat Crazy and the inner gatefold sleeve artwork of Night & Day. I somehow had a release date 1985 in mind, but can't verify that at the moment.
beatcrazy 30th Dec 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - - (1986)	The cover of this 10" features the tour dates of the second leg of the European Big World Tour Nov./Dec. 1986. The BW album was already released in March. It's more likely, that this promo was intended to push the tour in the media. The translator of the track B1 "Cancer" was Sue Hadjopoulos' mother. Sue was the percussionist on the "Night And Day" album and tour.

beatcrazy 28th Dec 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - In Concert (1982)	All the US versions of this radio show (see "Linked Releases") omit the track "Fools In Love". This original UK BBC Transcription Disc LP has no adverts or commercials on it, just pure music in superior sound quality after the spoken intro.

beatcrazy 24th Dec 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - Westwood One (1984)	This record includes a rare Budweiser commercial "This Bud's For You" with music in Steppin' Out style and vocals by Joe Jackson! By looking on the top right corner of the cue sheet, it seems also possible to me that the air date was January 1983, although the record number has 84 in it.

beatcrazy 24th Dec 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - Westwood One (1983)	There at least two different other versions of this radio show, with different numbers, air dates, labels, commercials and also different track lists! Shall these be added as new entries? And should the commercials and intros/outros (generally of all US radio show albums) be mentioned in the track list? The recording venue, that Plaatjesman mentioned, is correct. For reasons I can't recall anymore, I have December 8th 1982 in my files. I'll try to clarify that.

beatcrazy 20th Nov 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - Stepping Out (1990)	I have this record too and it was sold to me as Zimbabwe copy from a well respected seller of African records. But it did not come with a picture sleeve, but with a custom sleeve of "ZMC" (which stands for "Zimbabwe Music Corporation"). Back then, I was offered this record from the same seller with AIM labels and picture sleeve (I only saw the front, which looked "normal"), but as South African release. Strange. Unfortunately I did not buy it.
