Graham Collier Music Featuring Harry Beckett - Mosaics (1971)
from a batch of excellent sleeves commissioned by Philips to Roger Dean by whoever was his agent. This and Junco Partners are my favourites. Laminated covers are so unforgiving but look amazing when in pristine condition.

Frank Zappa And Captain Beefheart - Providence College, Rhode Island, April 26th 1975 (2015)
Is this a boot? I can't imagine that GZ would have issued this.

The photo is from Oct 1969 when FZ was Magic Band tour manager. They are on stage at Amougies inside the big 'Barnum' or tent.

King Crimson - Lizard (1970)
the thinking at the time was something to do with getting a bit more cash from publishing.

Pink Fairies - Pink Fairies (1976)
The Twink LP 'Think Pink' is related to this family tree and it predates the Pink Fairies. It is an excellent LP. Original copies on UK and NZ Polydor and Sire in the US.

Mighty Baby - Mighty Baby (1969)
mighty baby are my absolute favourite band. I have a few copies of this LP. There is an earlier studio recording session which was later redone here with Guy Stevens. It exists on acetate

David Bowie - The Man Who Sold The World (1971)
How many variations are they of this LP? I know that there is credit Tonny Visconti misspelled on label so it suggests that there are multiple pressings.

The Damned - Damned Damned Damned (1977)
It's not a misspress. It was a carefully conceived deliberate act. All the errata copies I have seen do not have laminated sleeves. A Barney Bubbles masterpiece

The Steampacket - Rock Generation Vol. 6
It looks like the common denominator for all these Rock Generation LPs is Giorgo Gomelski who repeated the same exercise on labels like Charly and Ace to keep the account ticking. Oh yes, very much a French issue and project.

Focus - Focus 3 (1972)
Focus III the tune has nicked a piece from Tony Hatch in order to get around a Thijs van Leer stumbling block.

Various Artists - Revelations: A Musical Anthology For Glastonbury Fayre (1972)
There are probably more than 3 different labels colour configurations. It does get confusing. What is missing from the current line up is green printed without the yellow but with white instead. The Radio Geronimo website has looked at the set and there are images there.

Black Sabbath - Vol 4 (1972)
I think the spaceship label is the key collector issue - as it is a fleeting moment. The LP sleeve has been spotted laminated which must form another choice collectors variant.

Cressida - Cressida (1970)
The LP had at least 2 pressings. The sleeve and label was subtly adjusted.

later issues with Polydor on the sleeve have Blue Horizon label. This is after the label ceased to exist. The reason why this happened is the LP was in such high demand Polydor just used up all the BH blank labels. The genuine issue on BH has Marketed by Polydor on label and the post BH period have manufactured by Polydor - but this is not a hard and fact rule. I will say in the 18 months that the LP existed in catalogue on BH the information on the label was changed and reset because the publishing had changed.
