GimmeVinyl 20th Nov 2022		Vinyl Album The Supremes - More Hits By The Supremes (1965)	Has anyone in the last 57 years ever wonder why "Ask Any Girl" is on both the "Where Did Our Love Go" LP, as well as this LP? Not that it's a bad song, mind you... It's one of my favorite LP/B side single tunes recorded by The Supremes.

It features the 78 rpm "swirl" style label, and states ATV Music as the publisher. Does it belong here, or does it merit its own listing? I'm adding label scans....

GimmeVinyl 8th Mar 2022		Vinyl Album Nat "King" Cole And His Trio - Harvest Of Hits (1950)	The label that states "LONG PLAYING", "MICROGROOVE", and "33 1/3" in a circle was pressed before September, 1953, and is the first style Capitol LP label. I have seen them in purple and blue for Nat King Cole releases.

GimmeVinyl 12th Dec 2021		Vinyl Album Nat "King" Cole Trio - King Cole Trio Vol. 1 (1950)	If you're a fan of Nat King Cole, and the King Cole Trio, this is an awesome LP to play and listen to. I just bought it today, and the vinyl is as near mint you'll find, besides a never been played copy. Research tells me this label was used after September, 1953, and it is a Scranton pressing. It also features the raised T-rim on the outer edge.

My question is.. was the 10 inch LP dropped from the catalog when the 12 inch LP was released in 1954? I'm guessing it was..

Crazy seeing a lot of these tunes on the Gordy label instead of their respective Motown and Tamla labels...

GimmeVinyl 21st May 2021		Vinyl Album The Yardbirds - Having A Rave Up With The Yardbirds! (1965)	After doing a little research, I come to find that my orange label pressing is from 1973. I may be going out on a limb here, but I am going to make an educated guess that this was the last reissue of this LP before being deleted from the Epic LP catalogue. If anyone has evidence of this, one way or another, please comment.

I passed on it because I thought it was a bootleg.. looking at the label scans, I see that it's not... The blue Capitol logo coin threw me off. It will be gone by the time I get back there..

Even though I already own over half the tracks on 45, it's really nice to have them on one LP. Also on the plus side, two of the tracks were recorded live at the Grande Ballroom, Detroit Mi. Heavy Music should have been credited to Bob Seger And The Last Heard... Not The Bob Seger System.

One thing caught my eye.. there's a ARP stamp in the dead wax... I didn't know that ARP was pressing LPs in 1963... I thought that didn't come till much later.

GimmeVinyl 14th Apr 2021		Vinyl Album Jack Scott - Burning Bridges	Definitely a pressing from 1969-1972. The green Capitol label was only used for a couple years. I could kick myself for utterly destroying a green label Capitol Meet The Beatles when I was a kid. Who knew?
