GimmeVinyl 20th Nov 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumArtie Shaw And His Orchestra - Reissued By Request (1958) | This seems to be the '66-'67 reissue label.
GimmeVinyl 20th Nov 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Supremes - More Hits By The Supremes (1965) | Has anyone in the last 57 years ever wonder why "Ask Any Girl" is on both the "Where Did Our Love Go" LP, as well as this LP? Not that it's a bad song, mind you... It's one of my favorite LP/B side single tunes recorded by The Supremes.

GimmeVinyl 28th Oct 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumNat "King" Cole - Sings For Two In Love (1955) | The two that state "high fidelity" are 1957 Scranton pressings.
GimmeVinyl 28th Oct 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumRay Anthony - The Young Man WIth The Horn (1952) | I'm putting it out here for conjecture... That this is a pressing made after September, 1953... As the words "microgroove" and the circle with the "33" are missing from the bottom of the label.
GimmeVinyl 29th May 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumLittle Richard - Here's Little Richard (1957) | Ok... Question of the day. I just picked up a 1980's reissue of this LP... It features the 78 rpm "swirl" style label, and states ATV Music as the publisher. Does it belong here, or does it merit its own listing? I'm adding label scans....
GimmeVinyl 29th May 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumLittle Richard - Here's Little Richard (2012) | No label scans?
GimmeVinyl 8th Mar 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumNat "King" Cole And His Trio - Harvest Of Hits (1950) | The label that states "LONG PLAYING", "MICROGROOVE", and "33 1/3" in a circle was pressed before September, 1953, and is the first style Capitol LP label. I have seen them in purple and blue for Nat King Cole releases.

GimmeVinyl 5th Mar 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Monkees - The Monkees' Headquarters (1967) | FARTING?? Should be Farthing..
Thanks edit. Mod

GimmeVinyl 5th Mar 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - The Beatles In Italy (1965) | I own an Israeli Beatles LP? Cool beans! I was beginning to think that it may be a bootleg...
GimmeVinyl 5th Mar 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - The Beatles In Italy (1965) | Thanks for the update! Edited my collection...
GimmeVinyl 19th Jan 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumLittle Richard - Little Richard's Grooviest 17 Original Hits! (1968) | Does anyone know the reason why "The Girl Can't Help It" isn't on this compilation?
GimmeVinyl 13th Dec 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumNat King Cole - The Magic Of Christmas (1960) | Looks like you missed the one I entered last night.. it's under Nat "King" Cole Trio. Capitol H-220, King Cole Trio Vol. 1.
GimmeVinyl 12th Dec 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumNat "King" Cole Trio - King Cole Trio Vol. 1 (1950) | If you're a fan of Nat King Cole, and the King Cole Trio, this is an awesome LP to play and listen to. I just bought it today, and the vinyl is as near mint you'll find, besides a never been played copy. Research tells me this label was used after September, 1953, and it is a Scranton pressing. It also features the raised T-rim on the outer edge.
GimmeVinyl 10th Dec 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumNat King Cole - Unforgettable (1952) | According to the Friktech Capitol label website, my pressing, without the Italian BIEM tax sticker, was a reissue pressed after September, 1953. My question is.. was the 10 inch LP dropped from the catalog when the 12 inch LP was released in 1954? I'm guessing it was..
GimmeVinyl 9th Oct 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Motown Winners' Circle Vol 3 (1969) | The stereo version of Marvin Gaye's "Stubborn Kind Of Fella" is definitely a different take than the mono version that I have on the Motown Yesteryear series 7 inch 45 single....
Crazy seeing a lot of these tunes on the Gordy label instead of their respective Motown and Tamla labels...
GimmeVinyl 9th Oct 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Motown Winners' Circle (1969) | Dammit!! Just brought home another LP to catalog... Motown Winners' Circle Vol 3....
GimmeVinyl 21st May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Yardbirds - Having A Rave Up With The Yardbirds! (1965) | After doing a little research, I come to find that my orange label pressing is from 1973. I may be going out on a limb here, but I am going to make an educated guess that this was the last reissue of this LP before being deleted from the Epic LP catalogue. If anyone has evidence of this, one way or another, please comment.
GimmeVinyl 19th May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Yardbirds - Over, Under, Sideways, Down (1966) | There's a copy of this for sale at Dearborn Music.. I passed on it because I thought it was a bootleg.. looking at the label scans, I see that it's not... The blue Capitol logo coin threw me off. It will be gone by the time I get back there..
GimmeVinyl 18th May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Yardbirds - Having A Rave Up With The Yardbirds! (1965) | I just picked up a reissue on the '70s orange label. Paid $30 for it.. jacket is a cut out. Label pics soon.. I promise! I once had a bootleg copy of the mono issue many years ago.
GimmeVinyl 5th May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Romantics - In Heat (1983) | Hey, the first UK listing for The Romantics! Being a Michigander, it puts a smile on my face to own a UK pressing of a Michigan band...
GimmeVinyl 5th May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumLiz Phair - Exile In Guyville (2018) | Is the jacket and LP labels the same as the original 1993 release.. except for the cat #?
GimmeVinyl 3rd May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Romantics - In Heat (1983) | I had a UK copy of this.. had it for years. It's on the UK Epic label. I've got to double check to see if it's still in my collection. Yes, I still own it!
GimmeVinyl 30th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumLiz Phair - Exile In Guyville (1993) | Last weekend, I'd seen a copy of this for sale at Dearborn Music... And they are asking $64.99 for the LP. Huh!! Has it really become a rarity?
Oh yeah.. mental note to self.. snap pics of the other 3 labels....
GimmeVinyl 28th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Michigan Rocks (1977) | This album is a good slice of Michigan rock from the late 60s... Even though I already own over half the tracks on 45, it's really nice to have them on one LP.
Also on the plus side, two of the tracks were recorded live at the Grande Ballroom, Detroit Mi.
Heavy Music should have been credited to Bob Seger And The Last Heard... Not The Bob Seger System.
GimmeVinyl 28th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe 4 Seasons - Golden Hits Of The 4 Seasons (1963) | I picked up this LP a couple days ago.. my copy has a label variation, so I've added these. One thing caught my eye.. there's a ARP stamp in the dead wax... I didn't know that ARP was pressing LPs in 1963... I thought that didn't come till much later.
GimmeVinyl 20th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Universal-International Studio Orchestra - The Glenn Miller Story (1958) | This LP couldn't be from 1956... Not the stereo version. Discogs lists it as from 1958 with the solid black Decca Stereo label, then the rainbow label reissue in 1960.
GimmeVinyl 14th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumCarmen Cavallaro - Rome At Midnight (1956) | Hilariously, the LP jacket states... "This DECCA Unbreakable Record can be played only on 45 RPM instruments"... OOOPS!!
GimmeVinyl 14th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumCarmen Cavallaro - Rome At Midnight (1957) | Released in the US as Decca DL 8359, in 1956.
GimmeVinyl 14th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumGene Pitney - Greatest Hits Of All Times (1966) | Added A side label and alternate labels
GimmeVinyl 14th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumJack Scott - Burning Bridges | Definitely a pressing from 1969-1972. The green Capitol label was only used for a couple years. I could kick myself for utterly destroying a green label Capitol Meet The Beatles when I was a kid. Who knew?
