GimmeVinyl 13th Apr 2021		Vinyl Album Mantovani And His Orchestra With Rawicz And Landauer - Music From The Films (1958)	I can safely say, this was pressed in England at Decca UK, for the American market. The album jacket would have been printed in the US. This particular LP was #12 in the PS100 series.. London's first set of LPs that are FFSS.. Full Frequency Stereo Sound. Compare labels to my Ted Heath London PS 117... They were released at the same time.

GimmeVinyl 1st Jan 2021		Vinyl Album Kiss - Rock And Roll Over (2014)	Bought this today... Wow, it really took me back to junior high school! It looks very much like the original pressing, except on much heavier vinyl.. the label is spot on, except for the missing NBLP catalog number, the song publishers, and the Mercury trademark on the bottom. Sounds fantastic!!

GimmeVinyl 21st Oct 2020		Vinyl Album Bob Seger And The Last Heard - Heavy Music: The Complete Cameo Recordings 1966-1967 (2018)	This is an awesome collection of the early Bob Seger and The Last Heard singles put out on the Hideout and Cameo labels.. it sounds awesome, the pressing is nice and flat.. no skips or unwanted noise.. no distortion.. a very welcome addition to my collection!!

GimmeVinyl 4th Oct 2020		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour (2012)	I've heard of people having issues with the Rainbo pressings of the Beatles LPs.. I now own With The Beatles, Rubber Soul, Revolver, and now Magical Mystery Tour Rainbo pressings. I've had no problems whatsoever with the previous 3 LPs.. MMT did have a skip on Penny Lane, until I gave it a good cleaning with the Discwasher. Must have been either static, or a little piece of something... Plays just fine now.

In fact, I remember seeing Redbone on late night TV, on The Midnight Special program. But, what got me a good laugh was seeing people dancing to this on Soul Train.. OMG, the outfits.. totally Superfly! Look for it on YouTube..

I just purchased a brand new copy on Thursday. 180 gram vinyl. And it has returned to the glossy orange '74 style label. As I have read, it's pressed by Rainbo in Nashville, Tennessee.
GimmeVinyl 23rd Sep 2020		Vinyl Album Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin [IV] (2014)	I don't think that they are. I received a copy for Christmas.. it's black vinyl, and plays at 33 1/3 rpm.. The mastering doesn't seem to be as "hot" as the original 1971 US LP I once had..
GimmeVinyl 23rd Sep 2020		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Please Please Me (2017)	Got my answer today. My new copy came. It was pressed in Germany, so I believe it's the 2012 Europe release. The copy I now own has a cat # of 0094638241614. According to the 2012 US entry, that one has a cat # of 094638241714.. It has a zero missing. Mine does not have the 8 page magazine.. does this issue require a separate entry? The label is a little different.. no mention of DeAgnostini SpA... Also Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You are in Mono, and it is stated that these two songs are sourced from the original analogue masters.

I had a copy of the green label Capitol C Meet The Beatles given to me when I just hit my teen years. Of course, I didn't know the significance of the green label, nor knew if that particular pressing would be worth anything in the future.. needless to say, that LP got played a lot, and was abused.. and subsequently was lost track of by the early '80s... Unfortunately quite a few of the LPs that I had when I was a teen suffered the same fate. It wasn't until after I was out of high school that I started paying a lot more attention to proper record care..

GimmeVinyl 13th Sep 2020		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Sessions (1986)	Yes.. I've owned my copy of this LP since the early 90's.. Bought it at a little upstairs record shop in Ann Arbor Michigan. Paid $20 for it. I'd seen one in my last trip to Dearborn Music..and they were asking $20 for that copy. I categorize this as a "must have" in any serious Beatles collection. So, I've been listening to these tunes well before the Anthology series. I never bothered to look at the dead wax until recently. It only denotes side 1 and side 2. No other numbers or symbols are on it.

GimmeVinyl 29th Aug 2020		Vinyl Album Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cosmo's Factory (2014)	Bought this brand new, yesterday. If it weren't for the plain white inner sleeve, instead of the printed CCR sleeve from 1970, one could think that this may be a minty original pressing! The classic blue record label looks right, the pressing sounds awesome.. Quality Record Pressing must get kudos for the awesome job they have done!! I compared it to my original pressing of the CCR 'Willy And The Poor Boys" LP, and the only thing that I'd seen missing, was the Fantasy Records address in Berkeley CA. No bar codes anywhere, thankfully! Didn't bother to see if there was one on the shrink wrap. This is what a reissue should look like.

I too once had this LP when I was a kid.. it had belonged to my Aunt Richa. Played the hell out of it! Hope I can find a clean copy once more..
