Helen Willemse 29th Jul 2022		Vinyl Album Video Kids - On Satellite (1985)	De Video Kids was van 1984 tot 1985 een Nederlandse italodisco/spacedisco-formatie die gevormd werd door Peter Slaghuis (Hithouse) en Bianca Bonelli. De eerste single, Woodpeckers from space, was meteen een hit en ook de enige hit, met in Nederland en België op pieknoteringen tussen nummer 14 en de 18. Internationaal was het succes groter, met noteringen op 1 in Noorwegen en in de top 10 van bijvoorbeeld Duitsland, Zwitserland en Zweden. Het eerste album The invasion of the Spacepeckers was goed voor 1,1 miljoen verkopen wereldwijd. Het bleek een eendagsvlieg te zijn, want de drie singles die volgden haalden allen de hitparades niet, evenmin als het tweede en laatste album On satellite. Video Kids werd in 1985 samen met Bolland & Bolland onderscheiden met de Conamus Exportprijs. VideoKids were a 1980s Euro disco/Italo disco duo from the Netherlands, formed in 1984 and consisting of Peter Slaghuis (1961-1991) and Bianca Bonelli (1963-1995). The band's members also had solo careers on their own, such as Peter being a famous remixer, and Bianca having a solo single called "Je Veux L'amour (Follow Me)". They first met at the BlueTiek-in nightclub (where Peter was working as a disc jockey) when Bianca was looking for a partner for a singing competition.[1][2] They released two albums, The Invasion of the Spacepeckers in 1984 and On Satellite in 1985. All of their songs were produced and written by Catapult musicians Aart Mol, Cees Bergman, Elmer Veerhoff, Erwin van Prehn and Geertjan Hessing (under the aliases "Adams & Fleisner" and "Tony Acardi"), and recorded at Cat Music.

Nr. but rel. date.. got it, thanks! The STMR thing is odd indeed now that you point it out, mistakes were made and now that I am going through my collection I see so many, some are worse than this. Complete track listings that aren't even on the CD.. -_- Some of them I didn't even notice until now hahaha! Hotsound Megamixes 1 + 2 is a fine example. Could it be: Stereo Tamla Motown Recording??

Helen Willemse 22nd Jul 2022		Vinyl Album Diana Ross - The Greatest Hits Live (1989)	She was in the Netherlands before she went to the UK. Anyway, her voice was so much better when she was at Ahoy in Rotterdam than she sounds on this album. The entire show was more 'alive' and she was in real good shape.

Helen Willemse 22nd Jul 2022		Vinyl Album Diana Ross - Ain't No Mountain High Enough (1989)	Hi Phil, back in those days this was an odd one but I got the LP on a record fair and the CD in a regular store. This was probably before Universal, who started a vendetta against parallel import -_- That became a problem when Hip-O started to rerelease ... I had to get stuff via via. Record stores in the Netherlands were no longer alowed to import from the US because CD's were cheaper there. Before they went mad, it was easy to buy both US and EU versions of albums. Which was something we fans needed as often there were different mixes on them. Stereo/Mono, yes that was cool because at the time we didn't have the Mono's on CD, that is why I am so happy with the rereleases from Hip-O and Real Gone etc. Here shops are open on the most idiot days... 7 days a week in most places even on holidays.. crazy right? Anyway, when I worked at the record store we'd get new albums in with a note saying: do not sell until this or that date. You'd almost get the death penalty for selling before the releasedate. Your store 'd be in trouble and the record company wouldn't sell you anything for a long period of time. The shipment would come in on Saturday for us to sell on what date it was released after the weekend. Mostly on Tuesdays.

Helen Willemse 21st Jul 2022		Vinyl Album Diana Ross - Dance Songs (1985)	Trackinglist according to K-Tel, none of the tracks are remixed, in fact some of them are brutally cut off, like Love Hangover. All the fans were waiting for this album, only to feel (fill in yourself) in many places because it was very disappointing! Stupid of them to put a phone number and address on the cover because everybody with a phone called them up or wrote them to give K-Tel a piece of their/our mind! Of course we all got the answer that they "got the tapes like this from Motown". Sure.... When the CD came... again we were disappointed!

I believe that was the one released in October in the US. This release was released earlier that year in the UK and if I am correct in March. (?) Added the right cover for this release, sorry for the quality.. phone doesn't always correct that. Corrected most in PS.
