Juke Jules SUBS ● 22nd Dec 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumChris Rea - The Road To Hell (1989) | My labels show a single line of English text around the edge.
It could be argued that the first images are for a pan-Europe release, but in either case I suggest the label is Magnet rather than WEA

Juke Jules SUBS ● 10th Sep 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Great Scots - The Great Lost Great Scots Album!!! (1997) | ReviewI was reminded recently that "That's My Girl (Rotten To The Core)" has been on my 'wants' list since at least 1975 so when this album turned up I bought it assuming I'd get that track, but unfortunately it is not included.
What we get is several of the other singles tracks, and some more good material. In particular "Don't You Believe Them" backed by the Instrumental would have made another great single
Released on "Space Aged Colored Vinyl" my copy is dark translucent blue

Juke Jules SUBS ● 28th Aug 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumRandy Newman - Sail Away | Randy Newman appears on the BBC programmes Mastertapes discussing his work with John Wilson, and playing pieces from Sail Away in front of an audience in Maida Vale.
We don't get to hear any piece in full so one hopes that the performance will appear on a record in due course. Randy Newman songs always work best, for me, when he performs solo - no drums, no bass, no strings - his self-accompaniment is completely self-sufficient. Newman had done exactly the same programme in 1972 and I'm not aware that was ever released on album.
Lovely quote: talking about the emotional impact of his past successes, "sounds like I'm feeling things"

I've now edited the Cleo Page entry on 45cat, and looking at the entry for your book Rock Rarities-for-a-song Budget LPs That Saved The Roots of Rock-n-roll has set me off on a YT trail of Hank "Thumper" Smith/Jones (and I've ordered a copy of the book :-)
