kimbozw 17th May 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumEdward Woodward - The Edward Woodward Album (1972) | This reached the UK Top 20 back in the day. The singing voice of this actor-turned-singer reminds me a little of Tony Christie but with a more theatrical bent (for obvious reasons) ...

kimbozw 7th May 2019 | | Vinyl Album石川さゆり (Ishikawa Sayuri) - ベスト14 (Best 14) (1977) | Thanks. The transliteration of the singer's Japanese name is Ishikawa Sayuri. The song title may have a similar transliteration so that non Japanese speakers can pronounce the song title or at least they can try to do so! Google translator shows the Japanese word for transliteration as 音訳 - I wonder if that makes sense?

kimbozw 15th Apr 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumOlivia Newton-John / Electric Light Orchestra - Xanadu (1980) | The song DANCIN' is a version of a track from the 1930s I believe. John Farrar is shown as the composer but back in the 1930s the true composer was someone else of course. Does anyone know the original artist who recorded DANCIN' presumably in the 1930s and the true composer of the song?

kimbozw 19th Dec 2018 | | Vinyl AlbumDr. John - Anytime, Anyplace (1974) | I read somewhere that ABBA's DANCING QUEEN's backing was influenced partly by a Dr. John tune which was not named. Listening to the song SHOO-RA I believe it might be the track. Can I get a witness?
