LaurenceD SUBS 30th Apr 2023		Vinyl Album Various Artists - The Glory Of Their Times	As I understand it, Larry Ritter had these albums pressed (1000 or so) and sold them by mail for $3.95. Some copies of his book contained a card with a mail-in offer. I don't have a release date, but: - the cover states that the tapes had been given to the BBHOF - and the BBHOF archives indicate: "The collection was donated to the Museum by Ritter in late 1968" ... so the LP was most likely available by 1969 or sometime thereafter.

The Cash Box April 26 issue indicates that they arranged a gig at the Starwood in Los Angeles featuring Bates Motel, Single Bullet Theory and The Willys, as well as dates in New York and San Francisco for other bands on this release.
LaurenceD SUBS 11th Apr 2023		Vinyl Album Chuck Berry - Afterschool Session (1957)	Added scans for an alternate cover { 3262560, 3262561 } which I suppose is from a later pressing. The labels on this copy are the same as those from make1968 { 689393, 689394 }. Funny thing about my pressing... found it in a secondhand shop, brought it home and played it. Side one sounded fine, then I turned it over and played side two. Expecting to hear "Brown Eyed Handsome Man", I instead heard a harmonica instrumental. It became apparent that I was listening to side two of The Best of Little Walter! Looking at the runouts confirmed it: Side one shows CHESS-8448 as expected. Side two, which should show CHESS-8449, instead has 8649 Δ501 ... Anyone else ever seen a mistake like that?

LaurenceD SUBS 22nd Mar 2023		Vinyl Album Carl McKnight - The Devil's Out Tonight (1976)	I'm not sure what to make of those liner notes, but it might be worth mentioning that the band had previously released two LPs on Ranwood, and apparently that record company still owed them money from a Nov 1975 contract.
LaurenceD SUBS 22nd Mar 2023		Vinyl Album Cy Touff - Miff Mole (1957)	The album notes state that four of the tracks were recorded by Miff Mole in 1949, although they do not specify which tracks. It's apparent that tracks B1-B4 are from the Premium singles PR-852 and PR-853 from 1950. And I think that those tracks were actually recorded in March of 1950.
