Lee Wrecker 25th Jul 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumXTC - Apple Venus Volume One (2018) | I couldn't improve on TrippyDippy's cover shot but have added a full set of scans for the rest of the package. Thanks to TrippyDippy for doing the initial entry on what must surely be one of the best re-issues of the modern vinyl era. One of XTC's finest albums never sounded better.

Lee Wrecker 24th Jul 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumXTC - Apple Venus Volume One (2018) | Got this last night and will do a full set of scans soon.
Lee Wrecker 15th Jul 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumBob Marley - Chances Are (1981) | Not on the label though for some reason whitewhale1965. Well spotted though and I'll send a correction. I generally look at a scan of the label when entering LPs but have come undone in this instance. Thanks for pointing it out and I'll send a correction.(sent)
Mod Edit: Done.

Lee Wrecker 13th Jul 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumRoxy Music - Country Life (1974) | Well pudgym, aside from the titillating cover it's quite a good album too!
Lee Wrecker 8th Jul 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumBert Kaempfert And His Orchestra - The Very Best Of Bert Kaempfert (1970) | I don't think that will be possible sheepdip1234 because I'll beat them to it. I'm not a "Mod" just a normal (? some will have their doubts) member of the site. If you have paint.net you can easily cut and paste the background colour over blemishes such as this. See what you think of my effort when it turns up it usually takes a day or so. Ha, they appeared straight away. What do you think?
Lee Wrecker 7th Jul 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumRamones - End Of The Century (1980) | Label should still be Sire though as can be seen here. Added bigger cover scan for moderation and a back cover scan of the album.
Lee Wrecker 7th Jul 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumLou Reed - Transformer (2017) | Cat # 889853490318 is wrong and should be 88985349031 as can be seen here. The barcode is right but the cat# is not the same and is missing the last 8 from the barcode. Correction sent.
Mod Edit: Fixed.
Lee Wrecker 1st Jul 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumMC 5 - Kick Out The Jams (2012) | What should the label be on this one? It really is a Rhino record because it uses a Rhino cat# (see cover sticker) but they are using the Elektra imprint which is owned by Rhino's parent Warner's. So, I'd say this should be listed as a Rhino/Elektra release. By the way Rhino have done the same thing with the Sire back catalogue.
Lee Wrecker 30th Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumDr. John - Locked Down (2012) | Added barcode and scans of CD and cover sticker.
Lee Wrecker 30th Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumDr. John, The Night Tripper - The Sun Moon And Herbs (1971) | My images (1810376 and 1810377) are most likely from the 2003 re-issue. I thought it looked remarkably pristine for nearly 50yr old record when I bought it last year but I'm not complaining. All details though are identical to the original release.
Lee Wrecker 23rd Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Fleshtones - Roman Gods (1982) | Linked to Australian (primary release for this site) and Netherlands releases of the same album. Still no USA release but when it arrives we should make that the primary release.
Lee Wrecker 23rd Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumFleshtones - Up-Front (1980) | I think this is a 12" 45rpm record and was sold as an EP. Therefore, I think it should be placed in 12" Singles and not here in Vinyl Albums. The Australian version of this EP is listed in 12" Single land (even though it plays at 33) and think this USA version should be moved there too. The other site also lists this as a 12" single if you need more evidence.
Lee Wrecker 23rd Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - Abbey Road (2006) | Added barcode and secondary cat# C1 46446 1 which is on the spine of the record.
Lee Wrecker 22nd Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumLal And Mike Waterson - Bright Phoebus (2017) | I saw both copies on Friday - the Domino reissue and an expensive ($150 Aus) original (2nd pressing) release. I didn't buy either as I can't get past the first song and although I know it's a joke and an attempt to garner commercial success it's tainted my view of the whole album. Should I give it another go and snaffle up one of the double album reissues?
Lee Wrecker 22nd Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumBuzzcocks - The Buzzcocks: The Peel Sessions Album (1989) | Shelley misspelled Shelly on all composer credits. Correctly spelled "Shelley" on label and cover. Correction sent and barcode added.
Added in Notes (mod.edit.)
Lee Wrecker 22nd Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumBuzzcocks - A Different Kind Of Tension (1979) | "Sitting Around At Home" is written as "Sitting Round At Home" on the sleeve, inner sleeve and label. Correction sent.
Lee Wrecker 21st Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumNat "King" Cole - Just One Of Those Things (1958) | Nothing to do with this then? Oh, except for the cover art.
Lee Wrecker 21st Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumBuzzcocks - Love Bites (2019) | Here we go again! There are two separate versions of this release with different cat#s and barcodes. This issue should be listed as REWIGLP127X as it the white coloured vinyl edition that comes with the same "PRODUCT" bag and poster as the first release. You can see both versions here and as with the band's first re-release on Domino there two issues one standard (black vinyl) and one deluxe (different cat# (X added), different barcode, different pricing, coloured vinyl, product bag and poster). This entry refers to the deluxe edition according to the barcode and should therefore have the cat# REWIGLP127X rather than REWIGLP127 (barcode 887830012713) which applies to the standard issue that comes without the other accouterments.
Lee Wrecker 21st Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumBuzzcocks - Another Music In A Different Kitchen (2019) | The replica Product carrier bag and poster were given away with the first 1000 coloured vinyl versions of this album and the follow ups "Love Bites" and "A Different Kind Of Tension" . I have the Domino reissue of "A Different Kind Of Tension" yesterday and the salesperson said "hey, Lee you've got the first album haven't you because these reissues come in a replica Buzzcocks "Product" bag. That's why I have the bag and poster but no album. My copy of this is the recycled vinyl Australian Wizard label edition linked below which came in a cardboard sleeve thinner the plastic bag I picked yesterday.
Lee Wrecker 21st Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumBuzzcocks - Another Music In A Different Kitchen (2019) | This entry is a composite of two different releases of the same album released on the same day by Domino. The cat# for the silver vinyl, poster and product bag version (1000 ltd) is REWIGLP126X and the barcode is 887830012638. The regular black vinyl version has the cat# REWIGLP126 (no X) a different barcode 887830012614 and are priced differently which is why they need different barcodes. The differences in cat# and barcode would indicate that two distinctly different releases of this album were released on the same day. The only way to tell though is by the cover stickers which contain the different details and can be seen here. So the cat# here should actually be REWIGLP126X as that is the cat# that matches the barcode on this entry.
Lee Wrecker 8th Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumAlbert King - King Albert (1977) | Linked to 1988 Charly (UK) reissue which is currently the primary release for this LP. Now that this original 1977 Tomato label copy has arrived could someone make this the primary or master release for linking purposes. There are still at least three other versions of this one out there somewhere.
Lee Wrecker 3rd Jun 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumOriginal Broadway Cast - Hair (1968) | Linked to USA original release and three others on the site.
Lee Wrecker 7th May 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumJohnny Burnette / The Rock And Roll Trio - Listen To Johnny Burnette! (1982) | Added barcode but not keen on donning the armour for this one Phil. I think the fact that it has the embossed stamp on the back cover indicating it was intended for the Australian market is enough to identify this as an Australian release.
Other than that Phil, I think it is only you and I on the entire site that even consider the problems of the international category these days. The last few attempts we have made to open up that discussion (here and here) have gone nowhere. Even Leonard (Mr. Everything is International at one stage) has succumbed to the the patriotic nationalism that has swept the site. The MODS don't have a unified position and the guidelines are inadequate so everyone just lists things according to their own preferences. If ever there is agreement on how to deal with this situation the mess that we have created in the meantime will take years to sort out.
Lee Wrecker 4th May 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumJohnny Rivers - Whisky À Go Go Revisited (1967) | Hi Rockslusk, me again I added the cover cat# SLS 50025E to the entry it can be done by using the "Add Missing Info" tab at the bottom of the screen. The composer credits should be as per the label and not have the initials this is in the guide somewhere but is easily overlooked. So you should send a correction to have the initials removed from the composer credits. You can also put information in the notes about contradictory data on the album but you can only do that when entering the album or requesting a correction later.
Lee Wrecker 4th May 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumSmith - Minus-Plus (1970) | Rockslusk your images do warrant a new entry. The country however I cannot determine it is listed here as Danish but Beggars Road may well be right and it could be Swedish or Icelandic, Finnish or Norwegian (see here). All the data is on the label you posted the NCB rights is contained in a rectangular box to the left of the centre hole and the unique cat# 4E 062-91554 is under the Stateside label on the right hand side.
So, technically this Scandinavian 1970 release is on a different label (Stateside) and has a different cat# 4E 062-91554. NCB's head office in Copenhagen (Denmark) so that would be good enough to go on to enter it as Danish (along with the linked copy from a different site). If on the other hand you bought the album in Sweden it will be Swedish because the intended market for the album trumps all other details. Seems Beggars Road has cleverly deduced that you did buy it in Sweden and that would make it a Swedish release. So now you have all the information you need to do an entry.
What next? Firstly, create the page then come back to this page and go to "Make Correction" at the bottom of the page and ask a MOD to move your images (1942194 / 1942197) to the new entry. They may take a day or so to appear but they eventually will.
So why do you have a USA cover with a Swedish record in it? I don't know but will guess that economics would have played a part and this was cheapest method of production at the time.
Hope this helps.
Lee Wrecker 13th Apr 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumMike Oldfield - Tubular Bells (1973) | RecordDragon I don't think Side One and Side Two should appear in the titles of A1 and B1. This information is not on the record and titles are meant to be written as they appear on the record.
Lee Wrecker 7th Apr 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumMeat Loaf - Bat Out Of Hell (1977) | Edited Coolah's labels, increased size to 800x800, cropped ,darkened and cut out spindle hole. The colour is much more like the real thing now, scanners have a tendency to produce images that are much lighter than the real thing.
Lee Wrecker 7th Apr 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumManfred Mann - The Mighty Quinn (1968) | No colour picture for us on the back cover like the USA original release, Jasper? Looks a great album though was it it released in the UK or is it one those USA single and album tracks compilations that came out when the band had a hit in the USA with "The Mighty Quinn (Quinn The Eskimo)" and subsequently was then released here?
Lee Wrecker 25th Mar 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Stranglers - Live (X Cert) (1979) | Yes Paul, the entry has been fixed now but it did list the composers as "The Strangers".
Lee Wrecker 25th Mar 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumMarianne Faithfull - Broken English (1979) | Seems I forgot to add label B with the mysterious track ****** listed on the label. Had scanned it all those years ago but just neglected to post it, must have been in a hurry.
