metfan 25th May 2019		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Superstars Greatest Hits (1974)	This is one of those albums that contains the four minute mix of "Thunder and Lightning" by Chi Coltrane, only found here and on a Columbia Special Products album, "Breakout! The Top Hits of Today". And when I make a copy of this on CD for anyone, I always give this credit for "Day By Day": Godspell featuring Robin Lamont. She did the stunning lead vocal in the play and in the movie.
metfan 21st May 2019		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Out Of Sight (1975)	Here in the US, never saw a copy of this with "First Round Knockout" by New Censation. The copies I have deleted this tune and substituted "Get Dancin'" by Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes. I found that strange, since their catalog had the version with the New Censation track.

metfan 18th May 2019		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Dynamic Sound (1974)	Here in the USA, K-tel used the Spanish version on this album, minus the first half of the refrain. I have the single on the Tiara label, dist. by Gulf+Western. Did anyone else know that the English version is only on the 45? The album doesn't have it.
metfan 14th May 2019		Vinyl Album Various Artists - 20 Dynamite Hits (1974)	The point is, Neil Forbes, that on a US album, they weren't going for an Aussie track, per se, but something which was an AMERICAN HIT. Besides, Festival Records had nothing to do with it - they licensed the track thru its American lessee, A&M Records. Besides, what other Aussie tracks would Americans know at the time?
