Mgeeeek 26th Jul 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumDownliners Sect - The Rock Sect's In (1966) | If this exists I've never seen a copy. Remember it being listed in the RRPG, but seem to recall that years ago I mentioned it to the editor as probably not existing and it got taken out.

Mgeeeek 25th Oct 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Kinks - Part 1 Lola Versus Powerman And The Moneygoround (1970) | I've got a copy of this with the fucking up line, does anyone else think the vocals are almost inaudible at points throughout the album?
Makes me wonder if they would have tweaked a couple of the other mixes too. It's okay if you crank it up and pay attention, but for casual listening there are loads of points where it's a bit disappointing...strangers, start of apeman particularly noticeable

Mgeeeek 17th Mar 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beach Boys - Pet Sounds (1966) | Finally found a copy of this in the wild last week- a quid at a garage sale I happened to pass.
The reason I'd never paid for one online despite being a Beach Boys obsessive? EMI only got sent the 'duophonic' reprocessed stereo master from the states, and folded that down into mono for this release. Basically it sounds like you're listening to it in the bath, or on laughing gas.
In addition to that, there's not much in the way of treble. Or bass. I've got both cranked on my hi fi right now, and you can get used to it after a while, but basically it's one of those occasions where UK EMI pressed a genuinely terrible sounding record in the sixties!

Mgeeeek 18th Aug 2016 | | Vinyl AlbumB.B. Blunder - Workers' Playtime (1971) | Can anyone report as to what this lp sounds like? I've read an interview with Brian Godding where he said the sound was compromised by a not fully figured out Dolby system, and the 45 of Sticky Living I've got is indeed, pretty muddy, but it all sounds wonderful on (sorry) youtube.
