rhythmdog ● 5th May 2024		Vinyl Album The Orioles - For Collectors Only (1983)	It's nice to have many of The Orioles' singles all gathered in one place. However, I really would have preferred that all the sides be ones that had previously been released. Goodness knows, the group had enough releases just on Jubilee (40 singles, so 80 sides) to easily fill a 6-LP box set and half a 7th!

If the comment applies to the back cover only, that back cover image is actually probably from a bootleg - it's not from the same source as the front cover.
rhythmdog ● 3rd May 2024		Vinyl Album The Orioles - The Orioles	This LP has been bootlegged, and it might even be a clever fake altogether, but what makes me doubt that is that some of the choices for cuts are definitely not ones the main group of Orioles fans would ever pick, so I do think genuine mid-50's copies exist. Even the red plastic doesn't bother me, as LP-1016, which should be fairly close in time frame to this one, comes on red plastic. On the other hand, what worries me is that this LP is not documented anywhere at all, except via its few sales captured at popsike. That is to say, specifically, it is not listed at Discogs, not listed in Jerry Osborne's "Rockin' Records", nor in Tim Neely's "American Records".

rhythmdog ● 25th Feb 2024		Vinyl Album Cliff Nobles - Pony The Horse (1969)	This LP contains some very rare doowop/teen singles from the early 60's: Tracks A2, A3 are both sides of Cinema JR-102 by Cliff Nobles - his first 45 from 1961. Tracks B1, B2 are both sides of Astro JR-101 / JR-102 by Webb Dixon (who is credited as singing lead on those sides on this LP), Tracks B3, B4 are both sides of Astro JR-32-109 originally credited to "Bennie Martin" (who is credited as singing lead on those sides on this LP), and Tracks A5 (credited to Webb Dixon) and B5 (credited to Bennie Martin) are so far untraced, but might also belong to an early single or two early singles from the same labels (either Astro or Cinema).

rhythmdog ● 26th Jan 2024		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Introducing The Beatles [Version One] (1964)	The Blues Breaker: this is not the same LP, check the track listings. There are images of the version your daughter picked up at "Version 2" This version here has as the last cut on Side 1: "Love Me Do" and the first cut on Side 2: "P.S., I Love You". It does not have "Ask Me Why", nor does it have "Please, Please Me". Those are found on "Version 2" in place of "Love Me Do" and "P.S., I Love You" respectively. MOD EDIT: Images moved to correct entry.
