Édith Piaf - Je Me Souviens Edtih Piaf (1963)
@Larden - Best to submit a correction request to change it to 10" format, in case a mod doesn't see your comment and act on it.

mod edit: luckily one did. great advice though Scratchy45

Sandy Denny - I've Always Kept A Unicorn (2016)
The book which this selection accompanies is excellent: to me it seems like a real labour of love, and I found within it a good explanation of the sometimes erratic arc of her performing and recording career. It inspired me to play everything in my music collection which she is involved in.

Talking Heads - True Stories (1986)
@whitewhale1965 - the label (on the UK release) has all the track listings on one side only in the order above, under the headings OTHER SIDE then THIS SIDE. From watching the film many moons ago, I do know that the order in which the tracks appear in the film is as per the US and UK listings (and the David Byrne/soundtrack album of the songs) i.e. with the concluding track being "City of Dreams".

The Chieftains - The Chieftains 5 (1975)
I had thought at one point that this was some kind of later UK issue, as my artist interests include several titles in my collection originally on Island whose titles transferred to Polydor (i.e. the EG stable). This is not one of them - the lack of any relation to those EG releases is borne out by the label rights text in German and GEMA copyright box.

The Kinks - The Kink Kronikles (1972)
@thewillismon: The 78 era was well before my time too. Good practical point about 78s, agree completely about 50s and 60s 45s - over-engineered (LPs too) which is no bad thing for their survival.

The Human League - Greatest Hits (1988)
Full gatefold+inner+label scans added to previously-uploaded sleeve front. Does pretty much what it says on the tin (Human League chart hits, plus Phil Oakey-vocalled "Together in Electric Dreams") but sequencing not at all related to chronology.

Planxty - Planxty (1973)
Full scans from a well-used copy added. Strange to see a "rights box" without anything in it on side 2 - I thought at first this might be because all songs were Trad. but B2 isn't.

I see both sides of "The Well Below The Valley" have box but no rights organisation, though B6 is credited as an original composition as opposed to "Trad arr..." for the rest.

The Kinks - The Kink Kronikles (1972)
It's not just 12" LPs: look at the evolution of the "album" and you will find complete albums or mini-collection issued in autoplayer-sequenced 45rpm collections almost as soon as the 45rpm format appeared. These were carrying on from the 78rpm album - going off at a tangent somewhat, were there 78rpm autochangers too or was the autochanger added to the newer form of turntable to sell more of the new vinyl products?

The Beatles - A Collection Of Beatles Oldies
Hi Any6y66 - "Unknown Country" may a better country designation for entering a release where there's no definite country ID. What you've entered will need moderator attention as you've entered the label as "Palrophone" so it's out on it's lonesome for now.

You may find that bigtom can advise on the period when Ireland had its own EMI pressing plant, and what to look for in Irish. pressings "IRL" may be present in the deadwax for some issues, (see the last scan for this issue of Rubber Soul).

The Passions [UK] - Passion Plays (I'm In Love With A German Film Star And Other Short Stories") (1985)
If you'll pardon the pun, a rather passionless take on the "Greatest Hits" tag. Take cover art from only chart hit. Retone from blue monochrome to sepia monochrome and add album title, making sure it includes the chart hit's song title in parentheses. Side 1 - position said chart hit as track 1. Add 5 more tracks from 1st album on Polydor. Side 2 - add singles & album tracks from second and final album on Polydor.

Benny Goodman With Peggy Lee - Benny Goodman With Peggy Lee (1955)
This 10" LP is a waypoint in that old, old process of record company re-release of material across different formats as artists move on. At the time of this release, Philips had European rights to USA Columbia releases, Peggy Lee was by now releasing solo material for a new US record company (Capitol), as was Benny Goodman.

At least some of the LP material appeared on 78rpm single releases in the first place (e.g. Columbia USA 36617 side 1 - "On The Sunny Side Of The Street"). USA re-release formats for the collected tracks in the late 1940s include 78 rpm album (Columbia C-170) , double EP set (Columbia B-406 - which I need to add to 45cat), and the original US 10" LP (Columbia CL 6033).

Some pics of them all (and more) in this discography page.

The Passions [UK] - Thirty Thousand Feet Over China (1981)
Review
A favourite band of mine at the time, and great to see live. With a single as well received, remembered and frequently covered as the album opener, why weren't the Passions more successful? Why wasn't that song itself more successful at the time?

Some answers may be found on the biography pages of the band's web presence, specifically the second page.

Various Artists - All This And World War II (1976)
Aside from questions of autochanger disc ordering, there is another entry here for 2T-522 showing a different (original?) label design, listed with same cat# & territory but with "double LP" format.

The original lister made no mention of box (though a later contributor of scans added one). I also have this release with the "plain" label design in a box (with box corner clipped for cut-out, rather than clip-hole). This too has "1-4" "2-3" autochanger ordering for disc sides.

I think these two should probably become one, though I appreciate it could become a messy
task.

Maybe less is more to comment on. Is what's above the artist name on the front cover a previous owner's doodle?

Edmundo Ros And His Orchestra - Album Of Latin-American Novelties (1956)
The illustrator/artist responsible for this and some other early full-colour Decca cover artwork in the mid-1950s seems to have used the name Demilio though no-one on the web seems to know much more. [Edit 10/10/18 : link updated to st33 page as original now dead link]

Charlie Rich - Charlie Rich SIngs The Songs Of Hank Williams And Others (1975)
Reissued under the originally-intended title in 1974 at the peak of Charlie Rich's success with Epic, this LP was recorded in 1967 for Hi Records. Form me the most successful cover is this (which least fits the original "Charlie Rich Sings Country And Western" title).

Nat "King" Cole And His Trio - Capitol Presents Nat "King" Cole And His Trio Vol. 1 (1953)
caseellerbroek - I think the paste-over is because EMI were using up sleeves printed for Decca, the previous UK manufacturer/distributor for Capitol. If you compare the rear sleeve design with LC 6569, the sticker covers the wording which identifies the disc as a Decca release.

Johnnie Ray - Showcase Of Hits (1958)
Sleeve and label scans added. It seemed unusual to me for a pre-60's album to have no cover text other than the record company name - but then I realised it's part of a multi-artist series "Showcase of hits", all of which have an unadorned artist photo on the front cover.

David Lindley And El Rayo-X - Win This Record! (1982)
Pan-european issue. Sleeve lists Warner local companies/distributors in Belgique/Belgie, Deutschland, England (Harumph ...UK), France, Italia, Österreich, Sverige though disc manufactured in Germany by Record Service Gmbh Alsdorf. Shrink-wrap still on sleeve, if you're wondering what the gubbins is in the image.

Various Artists - Tommy (1975)
This and what's been entered as 2335094 are one and the same thing and should be combined.

While this is a mod decision, my opinion is that it should be listed under the set number rather than a catalogue number. There are two separate catalogue numbers for the two discs anyway,
2335093 (record 1) and 2335094 (record 2).

Michael Nyman - And They Do / Zoo Caprices (1986)
Michael Nyman is the name used on sleeve and label: all the material on this LP is written by him. Side 1, a ballet music suite, is performed by the Michael Nyman Band, while Side 2, an adaptation of the score for "A Zed And Two Noughts" for solo violin, is performed by Alexander Balanescu.

If the mods see fit to change the Artist entries to reflect this, so be it, but I think it's no different from albums on here attributed to, say, Duke Ellington or Philip Glass.

I've also gone with That's Entertainment as on the sleeve, as opposed to TER Classics as on the label: the LP has a TER cat# which follows the example of the That's Entertainment albums already on here..

Poco - Rose Of Cimarron (1976)
The title track of this album is indelibly linked for me with the 70s incarnation of Radio Caroline. It's one of those songs they played in album track length over and over again. Unlike some of the others that got the same treatment, I'd gladly play it again now - repeatedly.
