The Four Seasons - The Four Seasons Story (1975)
Billboard issue of Apr 27, 1985, stated the Four Seasons Partnership (Bob Gaudio and Frankie Valli) was suing Quality Records for continuing to manufacture copies of this album, even though their contract was no longer valid. Apparently Private Stock Records had closed by then.

The Four Seasons - Four Seasons (1966)
This is an excellent comp album, featuring all the big Vee Jay hits in their original mono single versions. The pressing quality is better than the typical Vee Jay USA pressings. The date maybe suspect as by 1966 Vee Jay was out of business. This does include the January 1964 hit Stay not on the official Vee Jay "Golden Hits" 1963 album. That indicates the album was probably issued after "Golden Hits."

Tommy Roe, Bobby Rydell, Ray Stevens - The Young Lovers (1962)
Design initially used a black label for mono and original 1962 issues of this album used that, but after 1965 and later Design used the red label shown for mono and stereo releases. This indicates the album was repressed throughout the 60s probably based on Tommy Roe's continued success.

The 4 Seasons - The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette (1968)
The Genuine Imitation Life was such a disaster on many fronts, and Philips got the word from record dealers that the cover was so poor and did not indicate it was a "4 Seasons" record. One of it's biggest selling points was basically hidden.
So Philips started putting clear stickers saying "The 4 Seasons" in bright red letters. These are really rare, as the stickers were affixed to the actual album before the plastic wrap. I doubt if there was more than one pressing as the album sold so poor. Therefore if the stickers were affixed after the LP was in shops..very few were probably done. Rhino rectified the situation partly by including a full color portrait of the group on their reissue. Maybe in 1968/1969 they should have had a feature on the front cover saying "The 4 Seasons in jail" and have a picture of them behind bars on the cover.

The Bob Crewe Orchestra - The Bob Crewe Orchestra Plays The 4 Seasons' Hits (1967)
℗ 1967 on labels, but product probably from 1964.

The album was recorded about October 1964 at the Pye and Olympic Studios with a 40 piece orchestra. Initially it was issued as a 12 song album on Philips in the United States. When Bob Crewe became famous with the "Music To Watch Girls By" (Pepsi Theme) Philips reissued the album in the USA with 10 tracks, but in the UK the 12 track album was issued in 1967.

The Four Seasons - Girls, Girls, Girls (1965)
Though the Four Seasons have had lots of hits over the years it's the songs about girls and girls names that fans think of first..Sherry, Candy Girl, Connie-O and later Rag Doll and of course Dawn (Go Away).
Issued during the dispute that Vee-Jay was having with the group over back royalty payments, the album collects some of the best tracks dealing with girl's names.
If you consider purchasing this album, may I suggest you purchase the mono copy. As far as I can tell all stereo copies are rechanneled stereo, even though most of these songs appeared in true stereo on other VJ albums.

The 4 Seasons - New Gold Hits (1967)
Yes Vinyl Fan, the back cover has both the stereo and mono numbers. That way they could use the same black and white slick on both mono and stereo copies.

Crescendos - Oh! Julie (1963)
These eight songs would be recycled the following year on the album "The 4 Seasons Sing Bermuda & Spanish Lace" Guest Star G/GS-1481 and credited to The Barrons.

The 4 Seasons - Edizione D'oro (Gold Edition) (1968)
vidman45 stated, Ace tried, but quickly withdrew its CD release.

I don't think ACE tried very hard. The CD was probably withdrawn because of the fan uproar and the misleading cover. The Top of the ACE release has the word "STEREO" in large red letters (kinda hard to miss) all but 5 tracks (out of 26) on the CD are mono fold downs from album versions. Then at the bottom of the front is the incorrect statement "Contains Versions of their hits previously unreleased on CD" Both would lead a fan to believe they actually reissued the Philips LP.

Whether the tapes are lost is debatable. The album was issued worldwide including Canada , New Zealand, probably Australia and of course England, ACE probably could have gotten an album master from some country, even if the US tapes were destroyed by Philips, which has not been confirmed.

This is one of those cases where you need to hold on to your vinyl
