Upsetter FC 1 hour ago		Vinyl Album Don Drummond - The Best Of	There's nothing dubious about this. Coxsone had already reissued Ska-Boo-Da-Ba so he had access to Top Deck recordings. And he had a close relationship with Duke Reid in the late 60s.

FCD is the second pressing. WIRL was the first pressing according to Downbeat Special. And I really need to finish my coffee before I answer. Too many typos the past few days...

I have about 100 or so reissues (JA and Trojan) that I need to list here. Any you add saves me some work even if I have to dig out my copy to compare notes...
Upsetter FC 19th Jan 2025		Vinyl Album Jackie Opel - The Best Of	SOL matrix numbers are early 80s. Your sleeve dates to after 1984 when the 718 area code was first used. My copy is probably an early 90s with an old warehouse sleeve. Your copy was pressed in the 80s with a newly printed sleeve.
Upsetter FC 17th Jan 2025		Vinyl Album Jackie Opel - The Best Of	Unfortunately, Downbeat Special hasn't done this LP yet. What is the matrix on your vinyl? That will date it better. My copy is a K. K. Mastering pressing, which was done in Miami. And that makes it a late 80's or early 90s US pressing. My copy also has the labels reversed. Also my back cover is the same as the one posted except it is lacking a NY address, which tells me they reprinted the cover at some point to include Fulton St.

Uncredited vocalist is Kenny Seymour Sr. (formerly of Little Anthony and the Imperials) as noted in an interview with Harvey on Fania's website.

Upsetter FC 6th Jan 2025		Vinyl Album The Skatalites - Ska Boo-Da-Ba	As mentioned in Justin Yap's obituary in the Independent, there is a long list of vocalists he worked with. Joe Henry (Henry Buckley), Larry Marshall, Jackie Opel, B.B. Seaton And the Astronauts, the Angelic Brothers or the School Boys. The vocal tracks sound like Baba Brooks sessions so I am thinking Larry Marshall. I am not hearing Joe Henry's voice on either. Ideally though this is a Roots Knotty Roots question.

(1966)	The directly copied wikipedia text in the previous comment for this LP is obviously incorrect (1960?). Wikipedia is a bad source for LP information as it generally uses subjective reviews as content. The list of members is not matched to the recording (which does not list performers), just copied from the band's wikipedia page. Copying Wikipedia articles does not add any useful information to the listings on this website.

Upsetter FC 1st Dec 2024		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Duke Reid Golden Hits	This is a late 70s or early 80s pressing. Disc Pressers was used by Sonia Pottinger, who bought Duke Reid's catalog after his death.
Upsetter FC 28th Nov 2024		Vinyl Album Reco Rodreguez - Reco In Reggae Land (1969)	I never noted that if you look at the A side label, there's a faded "Made In England" stamp on it. Between that and the US style date on the back cover, I get the feeling someone shipped copies to the US for sale. I got this copy in a Brooklyn record shop (probably a few miles from where it was sold originally) for less than £69... It was part of a decent haul at the shop (I acutally was looking for a Larry Harlow LP they had) when I managed to get part of our tax refund from my wife.
Upsetter FC 27th Nov 2024		Vinyl Album Keith And Enid - Keith And Enid Sing (1963)	This predates ska. The track "Worried Over You" was a big hit in Jamaica. Also popular in the UK. Worried also showed up on an early JA hits LP, Jamaican Party Time with a small note on the "rhythm and blues" song on the back cover.

Upsetter FC 12th Jul 2024		Vinyl Album Prince Buster - She Was A Rough Rider (1968)	The reissue I have gives the date as 1968. It has the BBLP label number on the cover. But the cover was printed in Kingston in the 80s. The vinyl is recent as it has Miami and 876 area codes.
