Notes Even though Ted Straeter was originally from Saint Louis, MO, he became a prosperous pianist at the Persian Room of the Plaza Hotel where several young beautiful ladies dance to such music that his musical style has become a demand in ritzy night clubs of New York City. Despite the fact that Mr. Straeter's band was considered to be the best dance band in 1950s', he has a special way of playing tunes to the degree that Mr. Straeter had "originally created" such already-composed songs. This disc of 33.33 rpm contains tunes that reflect a tone poem that focuses to the New York of Ted Straeter, where night clubbers enjoy the charm of such music that many excessively danced in the Persian Room to the level where some of the dancers had not only taken breaks to recuperate, but ended up falling asleep until the next morning.
