 Although this is the only disc of 33.33 rpm that Tony Fruscella had recorded, he was a prosperous jazz musician who was exposed to classical music and developed a profound liking to Bach, Brahms, Beethoven, Bartok and Mozart. Despite the fact that Mr. Fruscella had listened to spiritual music until he left the Saint Dominic Orphanage in Orangeburg, NY, he played with prominent jazz musicians, such as Stan Getz and Gerry Mulligan.

Mr. Fruscella had a tremendous desire to play the trumpet so well that he started playing with Phil Sunkel, Though Mr. Sunkel, who wanted to prosper in writing his own style of music, he eventually became a successful composer, had penned seven of the nine tunes of this disc.
