Notes Betty Bennett was a jazz singer who got her first big break in 1946 when she became a member of the Claude Thornhill band, of which her first husband, Iggy Shevak was the bassist. Shortly after Mr. Shevak had departed from the Thornhill band, he joined Alvino Rey and Ms. Bennett had followed to this duo. After Ms. Bennett had joined the Charlie Ventura band in 1949, she had recorded two discs of 33.33 rpm, which were the eponymous Betty Bennett LP and the Nobody Else But Me disc of 33.33 rpm. By means of the Nobody Else But Me LP, Ms. Bennett had sung the tunes that were all arranged by Shorty Rogers and Andre Previn, who was the second husband of Ms. Bennett. Comments and Reviews
