Notes

Although this disc of 33.33 rpm contains tunes that were written by various composers other than Patty McGovern and Thomas Talbert, the title, Wednesday’s Child, was taken from the poem Monday’s Child, which was a fortune-telling tune that had supposedly told the character of children due to their birthdate, and help these children remember all the days of the week.

Patty McGovern was a Minneapolis-reared singer, who was accompanied by the Thomas Talbert orchestra, not only had sung all the tunes, but had also composed two tunes of this disc of 33.33 rpm.

Even though this was the first disc that Patty McGovern and Thomas Talbert had co-recorded, Ms. McGovern had never had another disc issued, whereas Mr. Talbert had one more disc of 33.33 that Atlantic records had issued. Furthermore, Mr. Talbert had continued to professionally record and perform even beyond 2000 even though he took a break from music for fifteen years due to the fact that rock-and-roll music had surpassed the popularity of jazz music.

Finally, this disc of 33.33 rpm is so rare that record collectors would pay more than $1000 to purchase an original sealed-copy.
