This concert had taken place the 30 August 1956 at the Music Barn, which is a tent-theater that is located on the grounds of the Music Inn, which is situated in the Berkshire Mountain range of Lenox, Massachusetts. Many renowned jazz musicians, such as Jimmy Giuffre, Pee Wee Russell, Herbie Mann, Oscar Pettiford and many more.

Though this Atlantic disc did not sell well, this was one of the first discs of 33.33 rpm thru which a jazz concert was recorded in a mountainous small-populated region.
