ppint. 18th Mar 2023		track b4: ''follow me up to carlow'' this is credited wrongly on the album: the writer is known: it was published in the poet, patrick joseph mccall's ''songs of erinn'' (1899). the air or melody to which it was set is reputed to've been the marching song played by feach machugh o'byrne's pipers in the rebellion which the poem commemorates. (the credit for its arrangement is presumably both correct and accurate.)
