Notes

A cast recording of the Willy Russell play as performed at the Lyric Theatre, London, England, from Thursday 15th August 1974.

The cast is listed on the back cover of the album, and includes George Costigan (Bert), Bernard Hill (John Lennon), Trevor Eve (Paul McCartney), Philip Joseph (George Harrison) and Anthony Sher (Ringo Starr). The main singer is Barbara Dickson, and the artists on the LP are:

Dave Mattacks : Drums and Percussion
Kevin Peek : Guitars
Gerry Rafferty : Additional Vocals
Joe Egan : Additional Vocals

Tiny Tina and the Titular 3 are Luan Peters, Elizabeth Estensen, Linda Beckett and Valerie Lilley.

The run-out groove on Side 1 contains the etching "PORKY", and on Side 2 the etching "PECKO".

 ....seeing the ticket stub, as mentioned on 45worlds elsewhere, I also attended a matinee performance in Aug. 1974, it may have been on the same day as above, I cannot be sure, but I was sitting over on the right hand side, where the pianist Barbara Dickson (we all know that now!!) was seated on the stage.

I do recall thinking "who's that bird with the shrill voice playing the piano that keeps butting in with snippets of Beatle songs, and why doesn't she just shut up...."

The highlight for me was when the actors all came out in their Sgt. Pepper uniforms....magical history tour de force......lol.
