Vinyl Album
Notes Though this is the second disc of 33.33 rpm of the Coasters, this disc contains their greatest hits of the 1950s. Due to the fact that Down In Mexico was a big regional success mainly in the greater New York City area, this disc of 45 rpm, most especially the gold on the red background, is such a collectible that this disc could easily sell at $500 in mint and/or unplayed condition. Two non-popular tunes, which are That Is Rock And Roll and I'm A Hog For You were initially issued as b-sides; the first of which was released the reverse side of Along Came Jones and the second that was issued the reverse side of Poison Ivy. In the 1960s the only tune that nationally reached the top twenty-five of the weekly Billboard hit parade of singles was Little Egypt (Ying Yang). When a "stereo" issue of this disc was issued, all these tunes were in electronically enhanced so that these tunes could output "stereo" sound-effects. Images ![]() ![]() ![]() Comments and Reviews
