Harry Arnold Persson was a Swedish jazz saxophonist and bandleader who had conducted in 1942 his first big ensemble in which he first started to play the saxophone, but later changed to perform arrangements for his and other jazz bands. From 1949 to 1952, Mr. Arnold had played and arranged ensembles for Thor Ehrling’s band and had written numerous film scores for much of the decade of the 1950s.

During the time that Mr. Arnold had conducted the Swedish Radio Big Band, he had recorded this disc with Frank Barcley due to the fact that Mr. Arnold’s band needed a pianist to play these twelve slow-tempo romantic tunes which had described the names of various females. Finally, Quincy Jones had also arranged scores and had conducted Mr. Arnold’s band for a brief period of time even though Mr. Jones already had a recording contract by means of Mercury records.

Finally, this disc of 33.33 rpm was originally issued by means of the yellow label thru which a black harp was inscribed and which the Atco letters were pressed in large white block letters.
