For small licensed labels, Atlantic/Atco typically only released singles on the actual label brand, but albums were released on one of the parent labels. Examples:
Volt - Otis Redding's PAIN IN MY HEART album was released on Atco "Volt Records Series", but subsequent albums were on Volt (which had one other act - The Mad Lads - releasing an album during the Atlantic/Atco tenure);
Dial - several artists with singles, but only Joe Tex made albums, all released on Atlantic, "Dial Records Series";
Capricorn - The Allman Brothers Band's early albums were released on Atco, "Capricorn Records Series";
Chimneyville - only King Floyd released albums, the first on Cotillion, second on Atco.
Complete title of this LP is "Dance The Cool Jerk With The Capitols" Can someone explain the Karen Records Series? It appears Atco released this and the "We Got A Thing" albums with this notation. Did Karen Records not release any LP's?
