 Based on the style cheesecake art, and the release, one could almost think this was an attempt at duplicating Decca USA's "Music for the Boyfriend/Girlfriend" series of compilations that featured Vargas pretty-girl sleeve art and was sponsored by Esquire? They came out around the same time...
