Actually Please Please Me did get to number 1 in the UK on 3 different charts at the same time however the chart had recently been changed so the charts that it was number 1 on was no longer the chart that actually counted. It was number 2 in the chart that actually was the official chart that mattered but if it had been a few months before then it would have been an official number 1 because one of the charts is was number 1 on was then the official chart
