I do declare that they consistently provide me with the most impressive vinyls in my collection.
Not the sexiest of labels perhaps, but the quality of the vinyl and whatever is pressed onto it knocks all else into a cocked hat... the clarity, spacing and detail in particular are always brilliant.
I'm assuming mine is a slightly later press due to the matte finish sleeve, but if they're all like mine for this title, then worth a couple of bob of anyone's money to get a clean copy.
And while this is the first time I've heard all the tracks on this album (Familiar with White Room obviously),I'd say it's a better album than Disraeli Gears (Gasp!!!).
As You Said is a particular favourite at the moment.
I think mine must be the "matte" finish sleeve, as opposed to Paul Vinyl's "Foil" finish sleeve.
Notice the picture and track listing have been moved sideways to the right, and the "Stereo on Mono... etc." text is placed under the Polydor logo at the top right of the sleeve.
The labels differ in the "p 1968" on both sides, and side 2 has the track: Deserted Cities Of The Heart, and the writers credit all on one line.
(This title is really confusing... with double studio/live album, and single album versions of live - and studio... and all apparently available in either Stereo or Mono Versions! (Not to mention the variations of foil and matte sleeves like the one I've just uploaded!!!))
(((The publishers credit - Tee Pee - is all on one line on my side two as well - and the only difference in the front cover is that the margin at the top is slightly bigger... with mine therefore cropped a bit at the bottom)))
