 That will be the work of GZ Media (Czech Rep.) who are notorious for poor quality control. Unfortunately, they also press a huge amount of new releases (re-issues) due to the global lack of pressing plants. The much touted heavyweight vinyl and original master tapes cannot overcome a shoddy, scuffed, poppy, hand-marked pressing. So many new re-issues are plagued by this issue it really is pot luck to get a good one. Try to stick to known quality labels like Third Man who always take care across the whole package. Rhino has also upped its game in this respect in the last few years but not on all releases. It is a shame that a lot of new 180 vinyl releases sound as bad as a picture disc.

 Sadly an awful pressing. Bought mine new and sealed, marks and muck all over it and significant background noise. Be warned...
